Pecado original…(en exceso)

El tiempo de LONG PLAY se inicia invariablemente, cada semana, cuando la aguja de nuestro tocadiscos empieza a recorrer el largo surco espiral de un disco de plástico. El que suena en la portada de esta edición, es un vinilo de 12 pulgadas editado en 1984 por la banda australiana INXS, y que reproduce el primero de los sencillos que incluía su cuarto álbum “The Swing”.

“Original Sin”, supuso el espaldarazo definitivo que encumbró a la banda del malogrado Michael Hutchence al éxito en todo el mundo…

Más tarde llegarían temas inolvidables como “Suicide blonde”, “Need you tonite”, “New Sensation”, “Mistify” o el grandioso “Never Tear Us Appart”

“In Excess” comenzó su andadura cuando los hermanos Farris, Andrew, Jon y Tim fundaron la banda en 1977 junto al bajista Garry Gary, el saxo Kirk Pengilly y el cantante Michael Hutchence… este último moriría veinte años más tarde en un hotel de Sidney, víctima de una sobredosis…
